Dear Parents:
On behalf of the B.C. Elmore Family, I would like to welcome you and your child to B.C. Elmore Middle School. Here at B.C. Elmore, our mission is to educate the total child and to provide a warm and positive school climate for all children. Therefore, Elmore has implemented a “Standard Code of Dress” for the 2007-2008 school year.
The selections for Elmore’s standard code of dress are as follows:
Colors: ALL SOLIDS
Shirts - burgundy or white (No striped, patterned or multicolored shirts allowed)
Bottoms – Khaki (No denim or stripes)
Shirts: Burgundy or white (solid color) shirts with collars. Short or long sleeves. No form fitting or short blouses. (Abdomens should not been seen). Undershirts should be solid white only. Collars and sleeves must be the same color as the shirt.
ALL SHIRTS MUST BE TUCKED IN AT THE WAIST
Pants/Shorts: Khaki pants must be fitted (not baggy) and worn at the waist. NO SKORTS.
No denim or jean material allowed.
Sweatpants or athletic style pants are not acceptable
Capri Pants (No Spandex)
Pants should be worn at the waist and a belt must be worn if the pants have belt loops.
Skirts/Jumpers: Shirts and jumper dresses of solid khaki must be knee length. (No tennis skirts or skirts with deep splits)
No denim or jean material is allowed
Accessories: Sweaters/Cardigans must be SOLID burgundy or white.
Jackets must be burgundy or white only
No large purses
Clear (see-through) backpacks or mesh backpacks ONLY
NO HOODED JACKETS OR SWEATERS
NO LARGE EARRINGS FOR GIRLS
NO EARRINGS FOR BOYS
Shoes: Enclosed shoes should be worn at all times.
Solid black or solid white tennis.
Black or Brown Loafers/Boots will be allowed.
Shoes must be fastened (laced, Velcro, buckled, etc.)
No high-heeled shoes should be worn
Belts: Belts must be worn if the garment has belt loops
Belts must be black, brown, burgundy or clear
No large/oversized buckles or medallions
Socks: Socks must be visible and must be ankle length.
No ankle socks that cannot be seen. (Colors: white, black or burgundy)
The Standardized Code of Dress must be adhered to each day (Monday through Friday). It is suggested that parents buy at least three sets (3 tops and 3 bottoms) of clothing to accommodate a week’s attire. If student is out of Dress Code they will be sent to SAC.
