Open to the public. Free vision screening, glucose, dental and other health checks will be available along with community outreach programs. Food, games, entertainment, face painting and moon walks for the kiddos. Vendors are welcomed and must reserve your space by October 10, 2008. Vendors must provide their own equipment and are able to set up between 8-9 a.m. A vendor's fee of $25.00 is needed to reserve your space. October 10, students will have their pictures taken. Students are allowed to wear their Friday spirit t-shirt and jeans on this day or they can wear their regular school dress attire. Students must have cash on the day pictures are taken.

Calling all students who would like to represent the Vikings in our campus wide soccer team. All interested students grades 7 & 8th need to have a physical on file by October 1. We are asking for donations for our new team sport: soccer nets and parental time to support our students. Practice time will be given at a later time.

All students are required to wear their i.d. badges daily. Badges are used to scanned for breakfast and lunch. The first badge will be given free of charge, but the replacement badge will be a minimal fee of $5.00. In the event, a student leaves their badge, a temporary one can be purchased for $1.00.

September is library card month. Did you know that you could get help with your homework through the Houston Public Library website? All you need is a library card! Get your application and instructions from Ms. Drake in the library. Those who turn in completed applications will be eligible for a drawing on 10/03. Prizes to be announced.
