Each year, a student from R.E. Kirby Middle School places first in the UIL Modern Oratory Competition.
This year was no exception. The only difference was that instead of one first place winner, Kirby had two.
Eighth-grader Roslyn Burke and seventh-grader VaShun Randall won first place in their categories.
R.E. Kirby and the entire North Forest Independent School District congratulates these students for the way they represented their school and the district in this UIL competition, which took place on Friday, March 7 in Crosby, Texas.
A special congraulations is extended to Rosyln Burke who also placed first in last year’s seventh grade competition.
